ABOUT ME
Amy Kesavan, MS, RN, IBCLC
Before you trust me as your lactation consultant, I’m sure you want to know a little bit about me. First and foremost, I’m a proud mom of two myself. So I have been through the process that you are about to embark on, and I can tell you that while there are always challenges regarding motherhood, the beautiful bond you can build with your child will outweigh them all. I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and received my Master's in Nursing from Columbia University in New York City.
As an IBCLC (International Board of Lactation Consultant), I am trained to help new and expectant mothers prepare for the wonderful bonding experience that breastfeeding can be. However, this process, while natural, is different with every child. I know from experience that it can be challenging to figure out on your own without the assistance of a trained professional. Therefore, I love to help moms build their confidence in your body’s ability to produce the perfect food for your baby. I listen to your breastfeeding goals and then provide the training to help you reach those objectives that will boost your emotional, physiological, and biological connection with your newborn.

In my personal life, I enjoy gardening, landscaping, and being a beekeeper. As you can tell from both my work and my hobbies, I love all of nature’s miracles!
